  • Wednesday, Sept. 3rd - Grandparent's Day Breakfast Order forms and $ due
  • Friday, Sept. 5th - "Kiss the Eagles Goodbye" (Rock & Roll shirts to support the Pirates)
  • Friday, Sept. 5th - Grandparent's Day Breakfast

Looking Ahead. . .

  • Monday, Sept. 8th - College, Career & Military Readiness Day (Wear a t-shirt, cap, etc. with a college, career or military logo to school)
  • Wednesday, Sept. 10th - Open House from 5:30-7:00 pm
  • Friday, Sept. 12th - "Let's Round Up the Longhorns" (Wear boots to support the Pirates)
  • Sept. 15-19 - Celebrate Freedom Week

Attendance Reminders

The state of Texas imposes the following attendance laws that we enforce:
  1. 90% Rule - Students must be present for at least 90% of instruction for the school year. Your child(ren)'s attendance will be closely monitored to make sure he/she meets this requirement. If your child(ren) miss more than the allowed 10%, he/she will be required to attend summer school to recover lost time.
  2. Unexcused Absences - Students with multiple unexcused absences are subject to disciplinary action, and parents are subject to truancy prevention methods.
*Remember, if your child is absent, send an excuse note, or call the office. We must have written communication from a parent/guardian in order to excuse your child's absences.
